Meet Monica Willard
Founder & President | Former Intended Parent
For Monica, surrogacy isn't just a profession—it's personal.
Before founding Two Hearts Surrogacy, Monica experienced firsthand the emotional journey of infertility, IVF, and ultimately, surrogacy. After undergoing IVF at 41 and creating four healthy embryos, Monica learned that carrying a pregnancy herself wasn't going to be the path to growing her family.
Surrogacy became that path.
With the help of an incredible gestational surrogate, Monica and her husband welcomed their daughter—a little girl who is now at the center of their world.
Becoming a mother through surrogacy gave Monica a profound appreciation for the women who choose to carry for another family. It also gave her an intimate understanding of what intended parents experience: the waiting, uncertainty, excitement, vulnerability, and enormous amount of trust involved in placing your dream of becoming a parent into someone else's hands.
Her own journey wasn't always easy. There were moments when she wished she had more guidance, stronger communication, and someone by her side who truly understood the process from an intended parent's perspective.
Those experiences became part of the inspiration behind Two Hearts Surrogacy.
Today, Monica brings both her personal experience and years of professional leadership to an agency intentionally designed to feel different. She believes surrogacy should never feel transactional, and that neither intended parents nor surrogates should ever feel like a number.
Monica personally takes the time to get to know the people who come to Two Hearts. She believes the strongest matches aren't made simply by comparing profiles—they're made by understanding personalities, expectations, values, and what each person hopes their relationship will look like.
Her goal is simple: to provide the kind of compassionate, transparent, hands-on support she would have wanted during her own journey.
When she's not working with intended parents and surrogates, Monica loves spending time with her husband and daughter, staying active, and going to concerts whenever she gets the chance. Whether she's making memories with her family or singing along to her favorite artist, she believes some of life's best moments are the ones you get to experience with the people you love.
"I know what it feels like to wonder if you'll ever hold your baby in your arms. I also know what it feels like when someone says, 'I'll carry for you.' That is something I will never take for granted."
